Pond lights and under water garden lighting
- Lights for ponds, fountains, waterfalls & water features

The Mariner E2561 20-50 watt underwater light is made from cast brass, pressure-tested during manufacture and available with frosted lens or internal glare louvre options. It is supplied with a U bracket for fixing to underwater mounting blocks or supports, but it can also be used without the bracket as a waterproof uplight set into cobbles over a reservoir, or even used in bog gardens or waterlogged areas as a recessed light. Optional heavy mounting base and mounting spike assist location on planting shelves or in planting baskets. The heavier weight of brass underwater lights means they are less likely to be disturbed than lighter weight aluminium ones. The clear lens fitted as standard is flush to the front rim for easy cleaning

One of the best black underwater lights is the Mariner E2533, made of cast brass and powder-coated black. It is fitted with a glare shield for locations where you need to ensure the origin of the light beam is hidden from view and to provide some glare prevention in “walk-around” fountains. For uplighting in shallow water, the E2532 is fitted with a slatted grid over the lens for glare control across the whole surface of the lens, or the E2534 has an eyelid hood and is often used in rills to shield the light source from overhead view.

For modern water features where the fitting may be very visible, such as tiled or mozaic ponds, the E4811 Hydros stainless steel underwater light may be preferred. All Lighting for Gardens brass and stainless steel halogen underwater lights are fitted with a 6 metre cable and accept an MR6 lamp up to 50w. Mariner pond lights have a heavy duty 1.5mm cable which reduces cable voltage drop to optimise halogen lamp efficiency. 3w blue and white 12v led modules fit all these MR16 underwater lights, and Mariner models accept a higher power 6w l.e.d. (light emitting diode) module equivalent to a 35 watt 36 degree lamp.

Natural brass underwater light with glare shield optional mounting base   Black powder-coated brass underwater light with eyelid hood and optional mounting base   Brass spike mount enables Mariner underwater lights to be positioned in marginal planting shelves or containers for pond lighting   Brass spike mount extension kit enables Mariner underwater lights to be positioned just under the water surface for effective pond lighting   Brass base mount extension kit enables Mariner underwater lights to be positioned just under the water surface for effective pond lighting

The Mariner range of underwater lights includes a comprehensive selection of mounting accessories including base-mounts and spike-mounts, with optional extension stems which enable Mariner underwater lights to be positioned just under the water surface for effective pond lighting. Positioning a Mariner light 20-30cm below the water level means there is less chance of the light beam being absorbed and dissipated by murkly water and raises the light above the level of cables and pipes in the bottom of the pond, so there is less risk of a well lit liner! There is also an optional recess niche & mounting cylinder accessory which enables Mariner to be recessed into walls and paving where a fully waterproof recessed light is required.
