Hanging lights
Hanging downlights are nearly all 12v and usually intended for suspension from a wall bracket or hook on a pergola beam or in a gazebo. They can also, be strapped to tree branches or hung from tree branches with chain. MR16 models provide the widest beam angle, 60 degrees, such as the black B1005 or brass M2541. 20w is usually bright enough over a table when hanging from an overhead beam. 35w may be preferred from higher positions such as the apex of a gazebo roof. Hanging lights such as black B1012 or copper/chrome M6455 have perforated barrels providing pin-pricks of light through the sides to add a bit of fun to narrow beam downlighting onto a planted urn or climber below. The Scandi hanging light is a bit different, providing wide area light from a tungsten or compact fluorescent lamp in more sheltered locations such as a summerhouse or gazebo.
