Lighting for Gardens – Warranty, Terms & Conditions


Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using this website and do not use this site if you do not agree with any of the Terms and Conditions listed. Use of this website signifies acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Whilst every effort has been made to give accurate, fair and up to date descriptions of all our products, the information, diagrams and photos are intended for guidance only. You and your company rely on information contained on this website at your own risk.

Consumer Terms & Conditions

Business Terms & Conditions

You are a consumer if you are buying the products for domestic or personal use. You are a trade customer if you are buying the products for purposes relating to your trade or profession.

Warranty details can be viewed against individual products on our website and on the product specification sheets.  

All installations must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with current regulations and observing product installation instructions.

All connections must be made to a suitable standard and to appropriate IP ratings.


No Fault Return

If the goods are standard items the customer has the right to cancel the contract within 14 days by contacting our Customer Support Team at sales@lightingforgardens.com. Products must be returned in perfect, saleable condition, in the original packaging and within 14 days of notifying us of your decision to cancel. These conditions must be observed to qualify for a refund.

Consumers are entitled to a full refund but Trade customers will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods and will receive a refund less the 25% restocking fee. Special items which have been made to order may not be returned unless faulty.


Faulty Goods

If an item arrives faulty or not as described, you must let us know in writing as soon as possible, and within 30 days of receiving the goods. We will give you a full refund or a replacement if you told us about the fault within 30 days of receipt of the product. After 30 days we will offer to either (i) repair the product or (ii) replace the product.

If you believe some or all the goods have become faulty within the warranty period you must notify us in writing within 30 days of discovering the fault. Please include customer account number, order number and the reason why the goods don’t comply. We may ask for photos or other supporting evidence, or arrange for the goods to be returned for inspection. If the goods prove to be faulty we will reimburse the cost of carriage. 

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that goods for return are packaged in a suitable manner for safe transportation. In the event that goods are damaged in transit on their return to the company or are not complete, then the company reserves the right not to credit or otherwise refund the customer in respect of the damaged or missing goods.

We may ask for faulty goods to be returned for testing to determine if the fault was caused by the fitting or by the installation. If the fault was as a result of the installation any costs for replacement fittings must be borne by the customer.



When returning goods please contact our Customer Support Team with;

i)                 The relevant account number and the order number.

ii)                The goods which need to be returned.

iii)               Reason for return.

Returns of goods must be accompanied by documentation referring to a Goods Return Number (GRN) which we will give you. Any goods returned without a Goods Return Number will be deemed to have been returned without prior agreement.

We will not be held responsible for any product’s failure to comply with the warranty if

(i)               The fault arises because you did not follow the instructions about installation, storage, use, care or maintenance of the product.

(ii)              You have altered or repaired the product yourself or using a third party; or

(iii)             The condition of the product is as a result of fair wear and tear, wilful damage or negligence.


Exceptional Orders

When an order requires us to procure products specially, or make modifications to existing stock, we may require a deposit upon confirmation of the order. Where deposits are required they will become forfeit to the customer at the discretion of the seller in the event of cancellation.



It is your responsibility to determine that the goods are sufficient and suitable for the purpose to which they are to be put. Lighting for Gardens Ltd shall in no way be liable for any direct or consequential damage, loss or expense arising from any defect or inefficiency caused by the manner in which goods are used.
