The Elipta Polus Asymetric LED Recessed Spotlight-240v (stainless steel) is designed for up-lighting tasks where you need to angle the light. The Polus is a high quality, LED recessed lighting fixture with an asymmetric reflector capable of projecting a medium beam of light upwards with a 45° tilt, suitable for uplighting walls, statues and small trees. It can light a tree canopy or facade while still providing coverage at the base. This beautifully made light is surprisingly powerful for such a small fitting, and its small footprint makes it suitable as a deck light or for use in paving.

The aluminium sleeve is built in during construction or retrofitted into a hole cut with a coring bit: the light pushes into the tube, where it is held firmly in place by an o-ring. Using a single RCD for large numbers of 240v fittings is not recommended due to the risk of nuisance tripping. We advise the use of separate RCD protection for each circuit and a maximum of 12 fittings per RCD. Where a garden lighting installation of more than 12 spike mount or recessed lights per circuit is proposed, we suggest the installation of 12v units with transformers, which results in a significantly higher fault tolerance and reliability in the total installation. |
